The challenge will see the lads attempt to climb Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan within 24 hours – with a total walking distance of over 27km!

The two chosen charities are Ronald McDonald charity house and Nottingham Hospitals charity which have both played huge roles in taking care of two of the football lads’ baby boys.

Mainline makes a donation to Dementia UK

With social distancing restrictions in place, delivering ‘Christmas Thanks’ in a bottle is impossible.  As an alternative, on behalf of our customers, we have made a significant donation to Dementia UK.  We are committed to supporting research into dementia treatment and care.  Only together can we ensure that people affected by dementia have access to the specialist support they need, and that research remains key to their purpose.

We recently saw how cruelly, one of the nation’s most beloved entertainment stars, Barbara Windsor, died at a care home in London following a battle with Alzheimer’s.  Dementia/Alzheimer’s remains the UKs number one killer!

As the cause of Alzheimer’s is not known, there is no known way to prevent the condition. Yet, there are things you can do that can reduce your risk of dementia such as moderating your alcohol intake, cutting out cigarettes, eating a healthy, balanced diet and keeping your mind and body active.

Receiving an Alzheimer’s diagnosis early on is key – but this can be tricky as the disease progresses slowly at first. Once diagnosed, medication can help relieve some of the symptoms and slow down the progression.

Our team joins us in wishing you and your families a very happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2021.

Our inventive engineers wanted to sprinkle a little Christmas cheer adapting this scissor into Santa’s sleigh!!  They are the best!

Chloe Pipe’s Big Hair Cut!

We’re supporting Little Princess Trust and Hair 4 Boys; a charity that provides real-hair wigs for children suffering hair loss.  We’ve been following the progress of Chloe Pipe as she grows her hair to donate to the charity.

Here’s Chloe on the day of the big hair cut as she proudly donates her lovely long plat of shiny hair.

The plat will help another child who may have lost their own hair due to illness and Chloe has also raised £870 in sponsorship whilst her hair was growing.

Well done Chloe – we’re all very proud of you!

Chloe Piper is about to have her hair cut…

We’re supporting Little Princess Trust and Hair 4 Boys; a charity that provides real-hair wigs to children suffering hair loss.

We’ve been following the progress of Chloe Piper as she grows her hair to donate to the charity.  After months of growing, she’s now ready to have her hair cut.  Here she is before the cut, as you can see, her hair is very long.  Chloe is glad to give her hair to the charity to help another child as she can grow her hair all over again.

Watch this space for more news on Chloe’s haircut and other fundraising activity.

Good luck Chloe and well done!
